Don A. Bowles

East Palestine-Don A. Bowles, 62, passed away Sunday morning, October 8, 2017 at Hospice House in Poland.

Mr. Bowles was born May 10, 1955 in Salem, a son of Don D. and June Avenell Bowles and had lived in this area most of his life.

Don worked at TMK Ipsco in Koppel, PA. At one time he had been a truck driver and had also worked in the tool and die trade. He was a member of the First Church of Christ and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #467 in East Palestine. He loved racing cars, especially his 69 Chevelle.

His is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth A. Esenwein Clark, whom he married January 2, 1999; a daughter, Loni Bowles of East Palestine; a step daughter, Stephanie Champlin of Salem; two step sons, Steven Clark of Baltimore, MD and Major Christopher (Stephanie) Clark of Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo; and a step grandson, William Champlin.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Toni O’Neill.

Friends will be received from 2-3 pm Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm with Mr. Robert Helbeck officiating.
