COLUMBIANA -- Diane June Dailey, 67, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister, took Jesus' loving hand at 7:20 p.m. Friday to begin her eternal journey through heaven.
Born June 23, 1939, in Youngstown, Diane was the daughter of Woodrow W. Wise and the late Clara Grace (Kubiczki) Wise, the latter of whom preceded her in death on March 28, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by a great-nephew, Andrew Perkins.
Besides her father of New Springfield, she is survived by her loving husband, James A. Dailey, with whom she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary Friday. She is also survived by a daughter, Vickie L. Dailey, at home; two sons, James A. Dailey of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Richard A. Dailey (Lynn) of Salem; a grandson, Richard A. (Courtney) Dailey Jr. of Lisbon; three great-grandchildren, McKenna, Austin and Hunter Dailey, all of Lisbon; a sister, Geraldine F. (Dennis) Perkins of Bowling Green, KY; two brothers, Allan W. (Marianne) Wise of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Dennis C. (Crystal) Wise of East Liverpool; and 15 nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Columbiana and surrounding areas, Diane was a member of the Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Columbiana. She also served at the voting polls in Columbiana for 25 years and was an active member of the Democrat Party in Columbiana County for many years.
Family and friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, where a Celebration of Life service will be held immediately afterward. Burial will follow at Columbiana Cemetery.
