Salem – Denise Louise Ruhl, “Sisi” 61, of Salem, passed away Monday night, October 17, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Denise was born December 24, 1954 in Salem a daughter of the late James and Dorothy Crook Ruhl.
Denise was a graduate of Columbiana High School. She worked at Crossers Diner and owned a plaster craft store in Lisbon and was an avid collector of antiques. She graduated with an Associate’s degree and worked as an occupational therapy assistant in Akron, Alliance and Salem.
Denise is survived by a sister, Deborah (Paul) Long, of Leetonia; two nephews, J. Grady (Lisa) Long and Zachary (Kasey) Long all of Leetonia; and four great nieces and nephews, Henry, Madeline, Zoe and Bradlee. Denise is also survived by all her great co-workers from Essex and her beloved cats.
A brother, Matthew James Ruhl preceded her in death.
At her request, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral home, Columbiana handled the arrangements.
