Sun City, AZ - February 24, 2005 - David G. Brewer, 83, of 20108 North 110th Avenue, Sun City, formerly of East Palestine, OH, died Thursday morning at the Boswell Memorial Hospital, Sun City.
Mr. Brewer was born October 16, 1921 in New Brighton, PA, a son of Elmer and Lucy Wallis Brewer and had lived in Sun City since 1999 coming from Virginia and East Palestine, OH.
He served in the US Army during WW II. He had been employed as a millwright at the St. Joseph Lead Company in New Brighton, PA for over 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, East Palestine.
His wife, the former Ellen I. Dyke, whom he married June 4, 1949 died August 12, 1996.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Suzanne Hughes of Sun City, with whom he had made his home; two sons, David Brewer of Dallas, TX and Keith Brewer of Austin, TX; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Lysle Brewer and Elmer Brewer are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine, OH with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
