David E. Allen

Salem, OH - David E. Allen, 63, of Salem, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Blossom Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Salem.

He was born September 14, 1953, in Ravenna, the son of Varren "Rex" and Shirley Ann Mercer Allen. David served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He had been employed as a truck driver for Burham Trucking in Georgia and prior to that at C.B.S. Trucking in Chicago.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Allen of Columbiana; a sister, Elaine S. Dailey of Lisbon; a brother, Daniel L. Allen of Boardman; and three nieces, Morgan Dailey, Julie Pauly, and Lori Allen.

He was preceded in death his father, and a sister in law, Kathy Allen. At his request, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Private burial will take place in Columbiana Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
