Darren P. Kyser

Lisbon - Darren P. Kyser, age 59, of Lisbon, died suddenly on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Youngstown.

He was born on June 27, 1965, in Salem, a son of Nancy Merino Hershey and the late Harry Kyser Jr.

Darren had worked as a truck driver for Liberty Maintenance Inc. in Youngstown for the past eleven years and was a member of the Leetonia Eagles #1496.  He enjoyed Cajun food, was a car enthusiast and loved drag racing. Mostly, Darren loved his family, his dogs (Diesel, Doza and Shadow) and especially his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffani (Paul Popovich) Kyser of Warren; son, Damian Phillips of Salem; mother, Nancy (David) Hershey of Columbiana; sister, Lorakay (Matt) Levatino of Laplace, LA; brother, Mark (JoAnn) Kyser of Leetonia; nine grandchildren and his significant other, Dolly DiDonna of Lisbon.

Darren was preceded in death by his father, and infant brother, Darrel Joseph Kyser.

Per his wishes, a private family service will be held with a celebration of his life to be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
