Daniel Alan Foster

East Palestine, OH- September 30, 2009 - Daniel Alan Foster, 50, of 329 East Main Street, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.

Mr. Foster was born December 25, 1958 in Salem, a son of Herbert and Janice Knight Foster and had lived here all of his life. He had been employed as a field service technician for R. B. Watkins/Areva and prior to that as a customer service salesman at Water Environment Technology.

He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and had been a fire fighter for the East Palestine Fire Department from 1983-1995. He was an avid golfer and marble collector and loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Besides his parents of East Palestine, he is survived by his wife, the former Diane Marie Caylor, whom he married September 13, 1980; two sons, Joshua Foster of East Palestine and Cory Foster of Youngstown; and his mother in law, Janet Davis of East Palestine.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Centenary United Methodist Church with the Reverend David Martin officiating. Friends will be received to celebrate Dan's life in the church fellowship hall following the memorial service.

Dan was a giving person in life and gave in death as an organ donor.
