Dale "Skip" Hughes
East Palestine-Dale “Skip” Hughes, age 75, of East Palestine, died on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Hospice House, Poland.
He was born on April 27, 1941, in East Palestine, a son of the late Thomas D. and Evelyn Jordan Hughes and had lived in this area all of his life. He had served in the U. S. Air Force. Skip had worked at Humtown Pattern in Columbiana for several years and at High Comfort Upholstery, East Palestine before his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Lori Ann Slagle of Columbus; two sons, Troy Hughes of Rogers and Kevin Hughes of New Middletown; a step son, Arthur Valentine of Lakeland, FL; a step daughter, Traci Cunningham of Salem; two sisters, Mary Buhn of New Waterford and Darla Fanta of Prescott Valley, AZ; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Dale was preceded in death by his son, Dale Thomas Hughes and two grandchildren.
No services will be held and arrangements have been entrusted to the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Palestine Fireman’s Association, 67 East Clark Street, East Palestine, OH 44413.
