Dale R. Ehrenberg

East Palestine- Dale R. Ehrenberg, age 89, of East Palestine, died on Monday, May 29, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on October 2, 1927 in East Palestine, a son of the late Fred and Helen Guy Ehrenberg.

Dale was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Darlington, PA., and the Meridian Masonic Lodge #411 F & AM Enon Valley, as well as a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.

His wife, Ruth Fawcett Ehrenberg, whom he married on June 3, 1950, preceded him in death on January 17, 2007.

He is survived by a daughter, Darlene (Charles) Linert of East Palestine; two sons, Robert (Anita) Ehrenberg of Darlington, PA., and David (Luanne) Ehrenberg of East Palestine; a brother, Robert (Elaine) Ehrenberg of Darlington, PA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Page and a brother, Donald Ehrenberg.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Lee Bittner officiating.

A private burial will be scheduled at Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
