Constance Ruth "Connie" Hill

East Palestine-Constance Ruth "Connie" Hill, 81, formerly of SR 14, passed away at 5:15 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus.

Mrs. Hill was born April 6, 1932 in East Palestine, a daughter of Ernest and Ruth Bacon Taylor and had lived in this area all of her life.

Connie was a homemaker and member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She was active with United Methodist Women and was a past president.

Her husband, Robert M. Hill, whom she married March 18, 1951 died September 21, 1999. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Parker of Chippewa, PA; a son James (Janice) Hill of Elgin, SC; two daughter-in-laws, Yvonne Hill of East Palestine and Lynn Hill of Marion; a brother, Kenneth Taylor of Celina ; nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doreen Ruth Hill, and two sons, David Hill and Kenneth "Wally" Hill.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday.
