New Waterford - Constance Lynn Chamberlain, 52, of Waterford Rd. died at 1:32 p.m. December 16, 2008 at Hospice of the Valley after a courageous lifelong battle with kidney failure.
Connie was born June 23, 1956 in Salem, a daughter Thomas L. and Martha A. Bell Quimby. She had resided for the past six years in New Waterford returning from a 22-year adventure in Alaska, where she lived in Valdez.
A 1974 graduate of East Palestine High School, Connie had been employed as a waitress and bank teller for several years. She was very proud to be a past president and lifetime member of the Emblem club of Valdez Alaska, a club in which she was very active.
Mrs. Chamberlain is survived by her husband, Brian J. Chamberlain, who she married November 21, 1981; her father Thomas Quimby of New Castle, PA; three sisters, Leslie Spooner of Columbiana, OH, Patty Doran of East Palestine, OH and Maria Allison of New Castle, PA; three brothers, Thomas Quimby of East Palestine, OH, Robert Quimby of Washington, DC, and Leonard Quimby of New Castle, PA. She also leaves an extended family of many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in New Waterford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation and please consider becoming an organ donor.
