Connie Marie Goppert

New Waterford- Connie Marie Goppert, age 57, of New Waterford, died on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Hospice House of Poland.

She was born on February 11, 1960 in Salem, a daughter of the late Dwain and Frances Posey Burt.

Connie was a 1978 graduate of Columbiana High School and a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, East Liverpool Chapter. She worked as a production manager for U.S. Can which later became the Ball Corporation for 39 years. Connie enjoyed puzzles and loved Christmas. Mostly, she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, James Goppert of Columbiana, and Joshua (Amanda) Goppert of New Waterford; two brothers, Gary (Cindy) Burt of Columbiana, and Rick (Terri) Burt of Columbiana; a sister, Denise (Tim) Dickey of Columbiana; two granddaughters, Mackenzie, and Evelynn Goppert, and by her father in-law, David Stefl of East Liverpool.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Goppert; her parents, and by her mother in-law, Eva Mae Stefl.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with John Reed, Minister, officiating.

Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery.
