Clyde Dayton Hiner

Columbiana - Clyde Dayton Hiner, age 89, of Columbiana, died on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Hospice House, Poland.

He was born on September 7, 1936, in Columbiana, a son of the late Edmund and Sara Fisher Hiner.

Clyde had worked as a truck driver for C & H Transportation and was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Columbiana. For more than fifty years, Clyde enjoyed boating and spending time at his cabin on Cluster Island in West Virginia. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite driver, Dale Ernhardt.

He is survived by his son, Darryl Hiner of Niles; daughter, Melinda DeCapio of Rochester, PA; sister, Patricia (Michael) McGath of Columbiana; two brothers, Raymond L. Hiner of Boardman, and Jim (Jackie) Hiner of Columbiana, and by eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Hiner.

Per his wishes, no services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
