Clarke J. Dinsmore

Clarke J. Dinsmore, age 78, of Las Vegas, formerly of Salem, died Saturday evening at his home following a long illness.

Mr. Dinsmore was born March 16, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Harry L. and Elizabeth Condon Dinsmore. He graduated from Salem High School in 1943 and later from Kings Point College with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the Merchant Marine for seven years and later in the US Navy. After leaving the military, he was employed in the oil refining and distribution industry for Caltex, Cyanamid and Kaiser.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan D. Scannon of San Francisco, CA, a son, Stephen Dinsmore of Gaithersburg, MD, and his companion of 35 years, Pat Trainer of Las Vegas, NV.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 at the Greenford Christian Church, Greenford, with John Bush, Minister, of the church officiating. Burial will follow at the Washingtonville Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are being made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
