Sebring November 7, 2004-Clark Morgan Baker, Sr., 95, of 800 South 15th Street died at 8:19 a.m. Sunday in the Crandall Medical Center, where he had been a patient of two months.

He was born November 4, 1909 in Unity Township, son of Morgan and Mary Alice Schooley Baker. Mr. Baker had lived in the East Fairfield/East Palestine area most of his life.

He had been a millroom operator for New Waterford Furniture for 25 years and also a farmer.

Mr. Baker was a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church.

He served with the 3207th Quartermaster Service Company in the Army during WW II.

His wife, Minnie Thomas Payne whom he married September 1, 1943, preceded him in death April 3, 1990.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. David (Mary Ruth) McConahy of East Palestine and Mrs. Stan (Jean) Baumgartner of Walnut Creek, CA; a son, Clark Morgan Baker, Jr. of Salem; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister; Effie M. Schmidt and three brothers, Raymond G., Russell H., and Moss W. Baker.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana. The Rev. Mitchael Hennessey and the Rev. Charles Ready will officiate. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
