Clara Elizabeth (Miller) Burt

Clara Burt, age 94, was born December 20, 1929 in New Waterford, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Yarian) and Elmer Miller. Clara passed away peacefully at her home on April 27, 2024.

Clara was a proud Mother, Grandma, and Great Grandma. She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church (JLC) in Columbiana, Charity and Prayer Circle, and was at one time the treasurer of Southside (JLC) Preschool. Clara had worked 47 years for the Mercure family (M&T Trucking). Her husband, Merle Burt whom she married in 1956, preceded her in death in 1966. She is also preceded in death by her son, Robert Burt, daughter, Linda Majlaton, and a brother, Robert Miller. Clara has left her loving family: Cara Burt Orr, Ashley Orr, Daniel Catello, Diane Jordon, Phyllis Miller, Edward Miller, Bobbi Jo Burt, Tony, Sara, Deanna, Joey, and Vinny Burt, Richard, George, Liza, Raynah, Mark, Kahlil, Alex, Eddie, Kristina, Kathy, Debbie, Nick, Billy, Christina, Cher, Cherree, great-great-grandchildren, extended family, and beloved pets. Clara loved her many dear friends, including Peggy Oberholtzer, John Butera, Kathy, Alicia, Tamara, Gabi, Betty, Cindy, Wayne, and many others here and in heaven. Her family would like to thank her caregivers, Salem Visiting Nurses, doctors, and Hospice of the Valley.

Per her wishes, no services will be held.  Instead, donations may be made in her memory to Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Columbiana.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana.
