Cheryl L. Pittman

Leetonia - Cheryl L. Pittman, age 79, of Leetonia, died on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, Youngstown.

She was born on June 7, 1946, in Salem, daughter of the late Robert and Virginia McEvers Snyder.

Cheryl lived in the area for most of her life except for a two-year period when she lived in Japan followed by a short stay in California. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a hairdresser for 51 years, which afforded her the opportunity to meet wonderful people and forge loving, lifelong friendships.

Cheryl considered herself lucky to have shared 42 years with her wonderful husband, James C. Pittman, whom she married on October 15, 1983. Her two daughters, Melissa L. Baker and Nicole L. (Lance) Ritchie were the loves of her life and she wanted nothing more than for life to treat them good. Becoming a grandmother and great grandmother to her granddaughter, Landry M. Baker and great grandson, Rayce Risden, enriched her life in ways that she never could have imagined possible. She never realized she could love and care for anyone so much and wished them only the greatest things in their life. Cheryl will continue to be with them all in spirit.

She looked forward to seeing her mother and father, Virginia and Robert Snyder, along with all her dearly departed friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Kari Lankford presiding. There will be no calling hours.

Burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.
