Charlotte E. Schaade

Salem - March 18, 2006 - Charlotte E. Schaade, age 85, of 11541 Washingtonville Road, died Saturday at the Caprice Heath Care Center, North Lima.

Mrs. Schaade was born February 6, 1921 in Washingtonville, a daughter of Walter D. and Helen S. Cook Smith and had lived in this area all of her life.

She, along with her husband, owned and operated Shady's Orchard for many years. She was a member of the Greenford Lutheran Church.

Her husband, Harry W. Schaade; a son, John Schaade; two sisters, Clara Mae Scarnecchia and Marjorie Fowler; and a brother, Donald Smith are deceased.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Jean) Scarsella of Canfield; two sons, James (Mary) Schaade of New Middletown, and Jerry Schaade of Salem; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at the Greenford Lutheran Church with Pastor John Maroni officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the Greenford Lutheran Church Building Fund. Arrangements were made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
