Charlotte Mclaughlin

Salem - Charlotte McLaughlin, age 87, of Salem, died on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Salem West Healthcare, Salem.

She was born on March 20, 1937, in Elkton, daughter of the late Earl and Helen Barnes Smith.

Charlotte was a member of the Columbiana Nazarene Church. She worked side by side with her husband at C & J Trucking. She drove semi-trucks for over 30 years and also drove a school bus for a few years.

Her husband, James Henry McLaughlin, whom she married on June 23, 1955, preceded her in death on, January 11, 2025.

Charlotte is survived by her four children, Kathy (Jeff) Pennell of Columbiana, Bonnie (Richard) Lewis of New Middletown, Jim (Lori) McLaughlin Jr. of Leetonia and Patricia O'Rourke of Bean Station, TN; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a sister, Janet Brooks of Mesa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma L. Vollnogle and two brothers, Keith Smith and Dean Smith.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 9:30 am - 11:00 am at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.

Burial will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
