Charles F. Wilkes, Jr

Mesa, AZ - Charles F. Wilkes Jr., age 72, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Columbiana, OH, died on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Banner Gardens Hospice House in Mesa, AZ.

He was born on June 19, 1941 in Salem, OH, a son of the late Charles F. Wilkes Sr., and the late Elizabeth Corey Wilkes.

Charles was a lifetime resident of Columbiana and had worked at Landmark in Columbiana.

He is survived by his wife, Susan McGee Wilkes of Mesa, AZ; 4 daughters, Valerie Wilkes of Mesa, AZ, Sheila Holloway of Leetonia, Diane Howie of Parker, CO and Kasey Kridler of East Palestine, 2 sons, Fred Hennan of Columbiana and Charlie Hennan of East Liverpool and by 2 sisters, Charlotte Lawrence of Columbiana and Helen Ashby of Sharon, PA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Charles was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn McGee and a brother, Emerson Wilkes.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 12PM at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with the Rev. Robert Helbeck officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM - 12PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery in Leetonia.
