Charles Thomas "Tom" Long Sr

Leetonia - Charles Thomas "Tom" Long Sr. passed away Tuesday August 7, 2012 at his sister's home surrounded by family.

Tom was born to the late Herbert D. Long Sr. and Patricia Simonds Long, March 31st 1950 in Salem, Ohio.

Tom will always be remembered for his love of fishing and his favorite spot in Canada; Tom played softball in many area teams. Tom worked and retired from the Leetonia Street Department where he was a foreman for many years.

He leaves behind his son, Charles Thomas (Jessica) Long II of Sebring; two brothers, William (Linda) Long Sr. and Herbert D. Long Jr. both of Lisbon; six sisters, Sharon (the late, Robert Morris Sr.) of Salem, Donita (Rick) Wells of Lisbon, Reba (Mark) Boso of Lisbon, Lisa Mountz of Leetonia, Julie Ann Hiss of Austintown and Virginia (Kevin) Brown of Lisbon; two grandsons, Zachery Thomas and Aiden Allen Long; as well as, Edward (Jeanette) Pettigrew and Joe (Fran) Weber both of Lisbon, whom he considered his best friends and brothers and all his beloved nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joshua Adam; a sister, Trina S. Jones; and a niece, Belinda M. Long Burbick.

Tom's wish is for a celebration of life party to be held at a later date.
