Charles J. Ankrom
Charles J. Ankrom, 83, of the Blossom Nursing Center, formerly of Warren, died at 1:27 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Community Hospital.
Mr. Ankrom was born Jan. 16, 1922 in Middlebourne, WV, a son of Charles R. and Zell Booher Ankrom, coming to Ohio in 1978.
He served in the US Army during WW II and was a truck driver for Motor Express of Warren.
He is survived by his wife, Helen V. Ankrom; a daughter, Marian J. Gudat of Washingtonville; a son, Allen Ankrom of Ruskin, FL; six step children; a sister, Doris Thompson of Middlebourne, WV; a brother, Donald Gatrell; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia was in charge of arrangements.
