Cecil E. Fishel
Salem - March 19, 2006 - Cecil E. Fishel, age 78, of 12487 Washingtonville Road, died at 9:25 p.m. Sunday at the Salem Community Hospital.
Mr. Fishel was born June 4, 1927 in Canfield, a son of Curtis and Mary Mitchell Fishel and lived in this area all of his life.
He served in the US Navy during WW II and had been employed as a truck mechanic for Anchor Motor Freight, retiring in 1992.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Feicht Fishel; a son, Leslie Fishel; two sisters, LaRue Baird and Inez Penny; and two brothers, Wilbur Fishel and Carl Fishel.
He is survived by a son, Lyle Fishel of Salem; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Pastor Robert Noble officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
