Catherine M. Macek
East Palestine-December 18, 2008-Catherine M. Macek, 94, of 48208 Brushville Road, died at 11:05 a.m. Thursday at the Blossom Nursing Center, Perry Township. Mrs. Macek was born July 15, 1914 in Marion, IN a daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Ancil.
Catherine was a homemaker and a member of the Unity Grange and SNPJ.
Her husband, Albert C. Macek, whom she married October 26, 1931 died June 21, 1980.
She is survived by a son, Richard C. (Mary Lynne) Macek of East Palestine; a sister, Wilma Miller of Salem; a brother, John Ancil of Vero Beach, FL; a daughter-in-law, Betty Macek of East Palestine; a son-in-law, William Jones of East Palestine; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
A daughter, Jodie Jones and a son, Albert W. Macek preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Joe Congemi officiating. Burial will be in Salem Memorial Cemetery, Unity.
Friends may call from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
