Carolyn Jean Price

Salem-June 29, 2010-Carolyn Jean Price, 58, of 12205 Goshen Road Lot 104, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Hospice House in Poland following a long illness.

Mrs. Price was born March 4, 1952 in Salem, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Caroline Onesta Stokes and had lived in this area all of her life.

She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, David Alan Price, whom she married November 14, 1981; a son, Marvin (Jeri) Barber, Jr. of Salem; two step daughters, Shelley (Jeff) Solon of Deland, FL and Dawn (Randy) Crawford of TN; a sister, Mary Jane McClemore of Leetonia; three brothers, Floyd (Wanda) Stokes and Lawrence (Joycelyn) Stokes both of New Orleans, LA, and Raymond Stokes of Beloit; as well as, nine grandchildren, Marvin Barber, III, Justan Barber, Eric and John Adams, Regan and Caden Solon, Jessica and Jordon Crawford and Corey Jones.

A sister, Josephine Raneri and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Eric Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia. Friends may call from 5-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and 10-11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
