Carol Lynn Scott

Columbiana – Carol Lynn Scott, 67, of Columbiana died at 6:25 a.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Salem Regional Medical Center after becoming ill at home.

Carol was born August 5, 1950 in Salem, a daughter of the late John F. and June E. Whitson Wolford and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Columbiana High School.

She was a member of Grace Church, Columbiana where she was active in the Women’s Guild. She had also served as church secretary for 13 years. She was a volunteer at the Salem Regional Medical Center and was a member of the Columbiana Garden Club. She enjoyed playing cards with her monthly card club for many years. After her work at the church, she also worked as an administrative assistant at the Ohio Gas and currently at Col Pump, Columbiana.

Carol is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer J. (Steve) Barnett of Malvern, OH and Jodi L. Scott of Lexington, OH; a sister, Connie K. (Gary) Scullion of Columbiana; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Katey.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Rev. Dr. Robert C. Joy, of the church, officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday.
