Carmel Gabriel

Leetonia September 11, 2008 Miss Carmel Gabriel, 94, formerly of Oak Street, died at 1:10 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Community Hospital.

Miss Gabriel was born September 27, 1913 in Leetonia, a daughter of Dominic and Agatha Cozza Gabriel and had lived in Leetonia most of her life until moving to the Parkside Health Care Center twelve years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Patricks Catholic Church.

She is survived by a sister, Edith Nocera of Columbiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Frank Gabriel, Silvio Gabriel, John Gabriel, Emilio Gabriel, Louis Gabriel, and Albert Gabriel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Father Thomas McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia from 10 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
