Carl L. Stacey, Jr

Columbiana - June 9, 2009 - Carl L. Stacey, Jr., 82, of 666 Fairfield Avenue, died Tuesday morning at Essex of Salem #I.

Mr. Stacey was born June 18, 1926 in Columbiana, a son of the late Carl L. and Dorothy Wining Stacey, Sr. and had lived in this area all of his life. He had served in the US Navy during WW II. He was Clerk of Courts for Columbiana County for 33 years until retiring in 1991. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Columbiana.

He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn M. Brinker, whom he married December 8, 1946; four daughters, Rebecca Esterly of Columbiana, Carla Dattilio of Leetonia, Teresa Roberts of Salem, and Kay Beech of Brighton, MI; a sister, Dawn Hill of Twinsburg, OH; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Ives and Susie Thomas.

At Mr. Stacey's request, there will be no services.
