Washingtonville, March 20, 2004, Carl E. Creighton, age 91, of 105 West Main Street, died at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the Blossom Nursing Center, Salem.

Mr. Creighton was born July 6, 1912 in Kensington, a son of Calvin and Emma Jane Cox Creighton and had lived in Washingtonville since 1954, coming from Salem. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.

He had owned Carl Creighton Roofing and Siding for 27 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Washingtonville, Leetonia Lodge #401 F. & A.M., and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown. He was a life member of both the Leetonia Sportsmen's Club and the Beaver Creek Sportsmen's Club of Washingtonville.

His wife, the former Ruth E. Davis, whom he married October 16, 1954, died August 27, 1994.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Patty) Donley of Leetonia, Mrs. Joe (Joanne) Watkins of Sierra Vista, CA, and Mrs. Gary (Judith) Turley of Nampa, Idaho; two sons, Robert Creighton of Cheney, Washington and Carl Creighton, Jr. of Seattle, Washington; a step son, Jim West of Leetonia; one sister, Mrs. Dora Garrison of Alliance; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A stepdaughter, Donna Gologram and a sister, Edna Kriner is also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Pastor Ken Clark of the Columbiana Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Washingtonville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
