Bruce Alan Keck

New Waterford - Bruce Alan Keck, age 69, of New Waterford, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Hospice House, Poland.

He was born on August 9, 1955, in Youngstown, the son of the late Emery and Martha McGinnis Keck.

Bruce was a 1973 graduate of Springfield Local and attended YSU where he was a student of biology/ geology.  He carved out a career working as a truck driver, retiring from Clear Creek Oil Field Solutions in New Waterford.  Following retirement, Bruce later took a job with the State of Ohio (ODNR), working as a seasonal employee at Guilford Lake.

He loved the outdoors and was great at skiing, hunting and fishing.  Bruce had a passion for both breeding and raising horses and bird hunting dogs.  Also, there was not a horse he couldn’t ride.  Full of humor and wit, may he rest in peace.  But knowing Bruce, he is riding the trails at Beaver Creek on his trusted stud, Cody.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Parks Keck, whom he married on September 29, 2001; stepchildren, Robert, Jody and Kathryn Macklin; Ryan Brownlee who he affectionately called “son”; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and his two best friends, Grace and Bitsy.

Per his request, no formal services will be held.  Instead, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
