Salem-August 2, 2008-Bradley L. Elder, 46, of E. Pershing St., died suddenly Saturday afternoon at Salem Community Hospital.
He was born February 28, 1962 in Alliance, son of Norman F. and Winifred J. Martsolf Elder and had lived in the area all of his life.
Mr. Elder graduated from West Branch High school in 1980 and was presently attending Salem Branch of Kent State University. He was a member of Tri-County 4 Wheelers.
He was a journeyman Tool and Die Maker having worked for the former Sekley Manufacturing Company and most recently for Quaker Manufacturing Company.
Surviving are his parents of Columbiana, his Beloved Racing Partner, Christine Waters and her children, Dennis, Jr., Wendy and Matt Twaddle of Salem; a sister, Mrs. Delmar (Barbara) Karlen of Salem; two brothers, Roger (Debra) Elder of Ruffsdale PA and Gregory (Cheryl) Elder of Sykesville MD; eight nieces and nephews and six great nieces and great nephews.
A brother, Gene O. Elder preceded him in death.
The Rev. Dr. Robert C. Joy and Rev. William Buell will officiate at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery at East Palestine.
