Bill Kennedy

Columbiana-January 20, 2012-William F. Kennedy, 62, of Columbiana, died suddenly at 12:46 pm Friday at Salem Community Hospital.

Mr. Kennedy was born March 8, 1949 in Ellwood City, PA, a son of the late Charles L. and Laura Eicholtz Kennedy and had lived in this area most of his life.

Bill worked for 10 years at Fresh Mark in Salem retiring in 2011. He had also worked for the former Kingwood Ceramics in East Palestine.

He attended Rogers Assembly of God Church. Bill enjoyed being the JLC Easter Bunny and playing video games with his grandchildren. He also was an avid Steelers football fan and loved fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, the former Linda S. Elliott, whom he married June 2, 1967; four daughters, Kathy (Matt) Walter of New Middletown, Dawn (David) Shevock of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Cindy White of Washingtonville and Susie (Richard) Puckett of Columbiana; three sisters, Doris Ritchie of New Castle, PA, Jenny (Paul) Rachau of Johnstown, PA, and Nancy Britton of Ellwood City, PA; three brothers, Lance Kennedy and Ronnie (Carol) Kennedy of Ellwood City, PA and Bill's twin, Webb (Kathy) Kennedy of Zelienople, PA; ten grandchildren, Krysta (Ryan) Crooks, Leanna Clemmer, David Clemmer, Willie Knapp, Daniel Walter, Alyssa White, Jonny White, Maddie Puckett, Richie Puckett and Gracie Puckett.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Meskell and a brother, Russ Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Reverend Paul Wright and Reverend Matthew Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
