Betty Arlene Macek

Lakeland, FL - Betty Arlene Macek, age 74, of Lakeland, FL., formerly of East Palestine, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa, FL.

She was born on April, 1, 1941 in Salem, a daughter of the late Orvil and Irene Cole Wilson.

Betty had worked as a secretary for ER Advanced Ceramics in East Palestine, OH and had attended Mt. Calvary Community Church for many years.

Her husband, Albert Macek, whom she married on April 22, 1965, preceded her in death on November 2, 1995.

Betty is survived by a daughter Lori Macek of East Liverpool, OH; a son, Todd Macek of Lakeland, FL; two sisters, Carolyn Howard of Birmingham, AL and Marilyn Geisel of Fort Myers, FL and a brother, Rudd Wilson of Salem,OH.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the VanDyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine and at the church one hour prior to the services on Tuesday . Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Community Church, East Palestine, OH, with Tom Rice officiating.

Burial will be at the Salem Memorial Cemetery, East Palestine, OH.
