Betty Jane Krugel

Austintown July 4, 2006 - Betty Jane Krugel, age 73, of 3980 Lake Road died at 8:51 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Elizabeth Health Center. She was born April 2, 1933 in Smith Corners, daughter of Venice Henry and Mary Elizabeth Gray Bortmas.

She had lived in Austintown area all her life coming from Washingtonville OH.

She had been a homemaker and member of the Longaberger Collectors Club. She loved shopping and making apple pies for everyone, as well as, her dynamite potato salad.

She is survived by her husband, Gale Richard Krugel whom she married September 2, 1951; two daughters, Mrs. David (Kathleen) Pflugh of Boardman and Mrs. Michael (Karen) Neese Sr. of Leetonia; a son, Robert (Pam) Krugel Sr. of Youngstown; a brother, Robert Bortmas of Washingtonville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home with Susan Raubenstraw officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery.
