Betty J. (Hulton) Ellis

East Palestine - Betty J. Ellis, age 94, of East Palestine, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Covington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in East Palestine.

She was born on December 1, 1929, in Middleton Township, the daughter of the late William “Park” and Essie Dyke Hulton.

Betty was a graduate of East Palestine High School and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in East Palestine.  She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother who enjoyed family time and hosting parties.  She loved cooking and baking, as well as traveling with her late husband and playing cards.

Betty is survived by two sons, Brian (Vicki) Ellis of New Waterford and Rick (Lori) Ellis of Columbiana.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Ellis and two children, Robert W. Ellis, and Bonnie Ellis.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor Cindy Figley officiating.

Burial will take place at Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
