Betty Louise Householder

Columbiana – Betty Louise Householder, 92, a life-long resident of Columbiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana where she had been a resident the past four years.

Betty was born January 28, 1923 in Columbiana, a daughter of C. Blair and Marie Riesen Householder.

She was a kind and caring person who loved her family and friends, all little children, puppies and kittens. She loved “The Lawrence Welk Show” as well as listening to polka music.

Betty leaves her sister, Esther (Householder) Tucker of Columbiana; niece, Kathy (Phillip) Dyer of Youngstown; great nieces, Jamie (Kevin) McLaughlin of Minneapolis, MN, Jessica (David) Groh of North Ridgeville, Angela (James) Mackall and Amanda (Earl) Bell, both of Columbiana; a nephew, Willard (Jamie) Tucker of Youngstown and great nephew Benjamin (Becky) Sheppard of Andover, NJ. She is also survived by many cousins and friends from her church, as well as employees of Parkside and Wind Rose Apartments where she had lived for 11 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Columbiana with Pastor Sean Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of the Valley or to the Jerusalem Peace Garden Fund.
