Ashland, VA - Betty Ann Lalley Dutcher, 78, formerly of East Palestine, OH, passed peacefully at her home, September 13, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
She will be missed by many for her kind and generous ways. Her heart and home were always open to those in need. She was born September 4, 1936 in East Palestine, to William and Lela Flowers Lalley. Betty served as a military wife for 23 years then as a hospital secretary for 25 years until her recent retirement. She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Al) Foster of Ashland, VA and Nancy (Bill) Kitchens of Beaverdam, VA; a sister, Kay (Norman) Mack of Chesterfield, VA; a granddaughter, Erin Kitchens; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Dutcher; two sisters, Lois Bolam and Helen Lalley; and two brothers, "Bud" Lalley and "Gene" Lalley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.
