Barbara Ellen Sullivan

New Waterford - Barbara Ellen Sullivan, age 84, of New Waterford, died on Monday, February 2, 2026, at her home in New Waterford.

She was born on July 30, 1941, in Salem, daughter of the late Lawrence and Ellen Ocherman Davis.

Barbara was a graduate of Kent State University and worked as a elementary teacher in Lisbon.

Her husband, Richard W. Sullivan, Sr., whom she married on August 4, 1962, preceded her in death on, January 21, 2008.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Matthew Whitten) Bloomingdale of East Palestine; son, Richard (Dawn) Sullivan of Williamsburg, VA; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Taylor) Humphrey, Megan Sullivan, Richard Sullivan, III, Dylan (Geraldyne) Bloomingdale, Nicholas Walling, Hailey Walling and James "Allen" Woodward; several great grandchildren, and a sister, Janet Urmson of Columbiana.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie Walling.

Per Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
