Barbara Jean Carline

Leetonia- Barbara Carline, age 83, of Leetonia, died on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born on March 31, 1933 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Merle and Dorothea Cox McDevitt.

Barbara worked as a hairdresser for 40 years, owning and operating Lisbonette Hair Salon. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia and enjoyed reading and dining out.

Her husband, Alfred Carline, whom she married on March 31, 1973, preceded her in death on August 16, 2015.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carol Anne Campsey, Dorothea "Dottie" Brown, Harold "Butch" McDevitt, Charlotte Burkholder, Charles Loar, Josef E. Engle, Karen Engle and Patricia Dotson. Also surviving are 19 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece.

Barbara was preceded in death by three sisters, Ellamae McCoy, Doris Figley and Mary Glacier and by three brothers, William, Walter and Harold McDevitt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, September 22, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Reverend Robert Edwards and Deacon Larry Pasko officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Material tributes in memory of Barbara may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
