Arthur O. Montgomery
Columbiana - Arthur O. Montgomery, 91, of Columbiana, formerly of Elkton and Leetonia, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Parkside Health Care Center.
Mr. Montgomery was born January 23, 1921 in Elkton, a son of the late Dallas E. and Nellie Johnson Montgomery. He had been employed as a machinist at NRM, Columbiana Plant for 30 years.
He had served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Columbiana.
He is survived by his wife, the former Betty Hall Lake; a daughter, Michele Montgomery of Washingtonville; a son, Scott Montgomery of Tehachipi, CA; two stepsons, John Lake of Deland, FL and Chuck Lake of Debary, FL; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna June VanFossan; four sisters and four brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, Columbiana, with the Reverend Carolyn Griffeth officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
