Alma Virginia Stanonik

New Waterford, OH-Alma Virginia Stanonik, 96, died at 5:45 am, January 3, 2013 at her nephew's home in New Waterford.

Mrs. Stanonik was born December 5, 1916 in Duffy, OH, a daughter of Henry Simon and Ida Bell Bruny Zohnd and had lived in this area most of her life.

Alma was a homemaker and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, New Springfield.

Her husband, Cecil Henry Stanonik, whom she married April 27, 1942, died April 25, 2007.

She is survived by her brother, George Zohnd of Columbiana; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the New Springfield Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Vernon Hughes officiating.

The arrangements were handled by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
