Alma Elizabeth (Mcdade) Robins

New Waterford-Alma Elizabeth Robins, 84, formerly of New Waterford passed away Saturday evening, July 28, 2018 at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Palestine.

Mrs. Robins was born July 6, 1934 in Negley, a daughter of the late Frank Sylvan and Mary Alice Rizor McDade and had lived in this are all of her life.

Alma had worked in the shipping department of the former Mellinger’s Nursery in North Lima and was a member of East Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Hew husband, Horace “Jack” Robins, whom she married October 4, 1952 died March 9, 2004.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Hill of Larue and Carey Jo Robins of Clermont, FL; three sons, Timothy J. Robins of Mahaffey, PA, Brian W. Robins of New Waterford and Brett A. Robins of Mahaffey, PA; a granddaughter, Toni Lynn (Andy) Ford of Larue; a great granddaughter, Odessa Renee Ford; and two brothers, William (Patricia) McDade of Negley and Jesse (Barb) McDade of Rogers.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Robins and two sisters, Alice L. Smith and Wilma L. McDade.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Reverend Deborah Quillen. Friends will be received from 12:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Contributions in memory of Alma may be made to the East Fairfield United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or St. Jude’s Children Research.
