Alice Dorothy Webber

Columbiana - Alice Dorothy Webber, 88, of Columbiana, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at the Blossom Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Webber was born September 2, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Jacob E. and Sarah E. Gannon Titus and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana. She was a former member of the Pythian Sisters, the New Waterford Fire Department Auxiliary, the Columbiana Senior Citizens, and the TOPS Club. She enjoyed playing cards and hosting events with family and friends.

Her husband, Nelson "Friday" Webber, whom she married March 27, 1948 died July 1, 1977.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Marlene Webber of Columbiana; three grandchildren, James (Anita) Webber Jr. of Columbiana, Wendy (Ed) Fletcher of Odessa, TX, and Barry (Deana) Webber of Ohio; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Webber; one sister and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Mr. Clarence Mansfield, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
