Alfred P. Ziegler

Mayfield Village-July 27, 2011-Alfred P. Ziegler, 90, 850 Joyce Road, formerly of Washingtonville, died at 6:18 p.m. at his residence.

Mr. Ziegler was born May 27, 1921 in Germany, a son of Ferdinand and Maria Onigkeit Ziegler and had lived in Ohio since 1951, coming from Germany.

Alfred worked for General Electric as a laboratory worker for 17 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Highland Heights.

He is survived by his wife, the former Elsie E. Gudat, whom he married April 19, 1952, and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Walter and Hans Ziegler preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor Karen Ullestad officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Washingtonville Cemetery.
