Ada M. Sprankle

Columbiana, OH-September 14, 2009-Ada M. Sprankle, 96, formerly of Park Court, died at 11:25 p.m. Monday at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana where had she resided for the past five years.

Mrs. Sprankle was born September 11, 1913 in Clarkson, a daughter of Willis and Lola Eells Conkle and had lived in the area all her life.

Ada was a homemaker and had worked as a clerk for the former Crook's Market and the Super Duper, Columbiana.

Her husband, Leroy Sprankle, whom she married July 27, 1940, died May 21, 2000.

She is survived by step brother, William Porter of East Palestine and several nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Agnes Peterson and Shirley Stankeweitz and six brothers, Willis, Lyman, Ross, Paul, Donald and Horace Conkle preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with the Reverend Charles Ready officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
