Sherry L. Ford

Salem-Sherry L. Ford, 69, of Salem, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Cleveland Clinic, following a courageous battle against cancer.

Mrs. Ford was born December 21, 1946 in Salem, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Weikart Bruderly and had lived in this area all of her life.

Sherry was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leetonia. She was the canteen manager at the Washingtonville V.F.W. the past 36 years where she was also a life member of the Auxiliary. She enjoyed participating in both the Relay for Life as well as the American Heart Association Heart Walk. Sherry also enjoyed reading and listening to Elvis and walking her beloved Pomeranian "Benny", but mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Warren Ford, whom she married October 10, 1995; three daughters, Julie (Breen) Shea of Columbiana, Mary K. Theil of Poland and Kim (Dave) Tohm of Columbiana; a son, Brian Theil of Coraopolis, PA; a step son, Ernie Ford of Radcliff, KY; five sisters, Linda (Ralph) Seaman of Leetonia, Brenda Bruderly of Columbiana, Paula (John) Krzanowsky of Canfield, Lori (William) Welsh of Columbiana, and Tammy (Gary) Evanoff of Salem and a brother, Jack (Joyce) Bruderly of Salem. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Ashley (Aaron) Bussard, Haley and Alyssa Tohm and a grandson, Kenny Shea, all of Columbiana.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Carla Selway and a brother, Richard "Rick" Bruderly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 18, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leetonia with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greenford.
