Leetonia-Wilma Bingham, 103, formerly of Crestview Rd in Leetonia, passed away Tuesday evening, March 5, 2019 at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center.
Mrs. Bingham was born July 28, 1915 in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Stella Barnes Stokes and had lived in this area all of her life.
Wilma had been a packer for the former Dan Dee Chip Company in Leetonia and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Leetonia.
Her husband, William D. Bingham, whom she married June 7, 1936, died July 2, 1955.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Ferry, Lois Boswell and Bonnie Geary all of Leetonia; her sister, Marcella Keller of Leetonia; thirteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, William Bingham, siblings, Pauline Moore, Betty Wurster, Stella Mae Stokes, Lawrence, Russell, Harold, Wilbur, Donald, Elmer and Earl Stokes; grandchildren, Shelley Ann Ferry and Michael Ferry and a great granddaughter, Haley Calabrese.
Friends may call from 11:00 am-12:00 pm Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia. The funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
