Thomas Thomas Obituary

Leetonia- Thomas J. Thomas, age 68 of Leetonia, died on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born on May 27, 1949 in Warren, MI., a son of the late Phillip and Cecilia Rogozinski Thomas.

Thomas was a veteran of the United States Air Force National Guard, having served six years during the Vietnam War.  He was a graduate of Youngstown State University holding a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.   Thomas began his career in 1968 working as a tool and die maker at GM Lordstown.  He retired in 2004 after 36 years from the fabrication plant where he had worked his way up to quality manager.  Thomas was also the owner of Thomas Design and Manufacturing as well as co-owner of Industrial Paper Shredders, both in North Lima.

He enjoyed golfing and had belonged to two traveling golf leagues.  Thomas also enjoyed woodworking, driving his corvette, playing guitar and traveling with his wife.  He will best be remembered as a man who loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Dee Dee Baulo Thomas, whom he married on June 25, 1993; three daughters, Erica (Scott) Fleming of Canfield, Lesley (Michael) Busico of Austintown, and Mindy (Jason) Plonski of Strongsville; a son, Michael (Sarrah) Hein of Canfield, and by two brothers, Leslie (Karen) Thomas of Commerce Township, MI., and Guy (Jennifer) Thomas of Tarzana, CA.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Reagan, Scottie, Lyla, Cecelia, Harper, Braxton, Brookyln, Anthony, and Sophia.

Per his wishes, no services will be held.  Instead, the family would request that donations be made to: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Attention Donor Services, P.O. Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
