Sally Chandler Wilkinson

Columbiana – Sally Chandler Wilkinson, 84, of Columbiana, died, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Hospice House, Poland.

Sally was born November 2, 1934 in East Liverpool, a daughter of the late Orvis and Marie Veneman Chandler.

Sally attended East Liverpool Schools and spend most of her life in East Liverpool moving to Columbiana in 1968. She worked at Hays Orchard, for Lloyd and Nancy Hays for 12 seasons. Sally was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Chester, WV for 30 years, the Presbyterian women’s association and the adult Sunday school class. She also enjoyed playing cards and dominos.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Wilkinson, whom she married, June 10, 1960, he died, May 3,1999.

Sally is survived by a daughter, Linda (Stan) Smith of Kansas City, KS; three sons, Charles (Diana) Wilkinson of Columbiana, Robert (Janice) Robinson of Duncanville, TX and James Robinson of Indiana; a brother, Robert (Barbara) Chandler of Shallowater TX; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Millicent “Millie” Chamberlin and a brother, O.J. Salisbury, NC.

Visitation will be held from, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 and from 10:00 to 11:00 on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Reverend Dr. Frank Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at Columbiana Cemetery.
