Paul V. Calabrese, Sr.

Paul V. Calabrese, Sr., 73, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley.

 Mr. Calabrese was born on July 8, 1945 in Salem, the son of the late Peter and Catherine Guido Calabrese. He lived in this area for most of his life until moving to Jacksonville, Florida in the early 1980’s and then returning back to Ohio in December 2018.

 He had worked at Eljers in Salem and retired from Select Communications (Motorola) in Jacksonville, Florida. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, casinos, and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim (Lee) Chestnut of Middleburg, Florida; his son, Paul V. Calabrese Jr. of Leetonia; mother of his two children, Bonnie Geary of Leetonia; a brother, Peter (Gayle) Calabrese of Atlanta, GA ; two sisters, Louise (Don) Warren of Columbiana, Kathy Wilson of Lisbon; three grandchildren, Patrick (Jenna) Chestnut, Rebecca Calabrese, and Nicholas Chestnut; two great grandchildren, Killian Chestnut and Ava Grace Chestnut; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom that he loved dearly.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and great granddaughter Hayley Calabrese.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date.

Professional services were handled by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
